SANDRA SANDRA CHELDELIN (INGLIS)
1985-Berkeley, Oregon
The past two decades for me have been filled with all the joys and struggles of those “significant adult developmental issues” at each stage. Overall I would have to say if I get points for being busy I’d win some kind of prize. But beyond that……a few highlights to catch up with old friends on significant events in my life:
*Completed bachelors in sociology at OSY in 1969
*Completed masters in educational psychology at the University of Florida in 1971
*Taught Psychology, Sociology and Adult development (along with those “sensitivity/encounter groups” ) at a 2-year community inner-city college in Columbus, Ohio for 6 years.
*Completed post doc through George Washington University developing and implementing a state-wide faculty development program for colleges/universities in Ohio in 1977,
*Moved to Athensm Ohio as director of Education, Curriculum and research at the new medical center. Obtained license as Psychologist and began a part-time private practice from 1977-1980.
*Moved back west to “settle” in Berkeley, California in 1980.
Currently Dean for Student and Administration Affairs at the California School of Professional Psychology in Berkeley (CSOO us a OhD clinical psychology program). I am also the chief architect of the masters program in organizational behavior.
I have committed my career to higher educational although I have developed a part-time private practice, both with individual psychotherapy and as an organizational consultant.
After 15 yerrs of marriage and enjoying my “inherited” daughter, Brenda (who is now 21 and an art major at OSU) Loyd and I parted---what we call a dual career casualty.
My life has been enormously stimulating, challenging, and rewarding. And that includes all those struggles, too. I look forward to renewing old friendships and sharing with the joys and struggles in your life.
