50th REUNION REVISITED
The Great 50th reunion is behind us but the memories are, at least for the moment, fresh. Thank you to everyone who helped to make it a wonderful gathering and thank you for attending. Watch the website for pictures and other reunion memories. The website will help to keep us connected until our next event.
Again, thank you to everyone who helped to make this a very special occasion. There are too many people to name here, but please know that everyone appreciates each and every one of you. You can revisit reunion doings by looking at these“50th Reunion Revisited” categories.
And finally, food for thought from Roger Ebert’s “Life Itself”:
“I went to Urbana High School between 1956 and 1960, walking the four blocks to school. We were the first generation after Elvis, and one of the last generations of innocence. We were inventing the myth of the American teenager. Our decade would imprint an iconography on American society. We knew nothing of violence and drugs. We looked forward to the future. We were taught well. We had no idea how lucky we were. ...Teachers controlled their classrooms. Hallways weren't fight zones. Boys wore slacks, girls wore dresses. It was like a cliche from the movies.”
"At the foot of old Chintimini
our Alma Mater stands
To further her achievements
We pledge our hearts and hands
In her memory, we'll always be
Her name we'll glorify,
We will love FOREVER,
You Corvallis High"
---The School Song.
