Rich got SO screwed by the Army - he completed Vietnam, came back and was caught in possession at the Fort in washington, and dishonorably discharged.

He had pretty bad PTSD, which we proved, finally
About 5 years ago, I took the bull by the horns and spent well over a year going over his records for him, and finally got him the pension he was due, as well as a huge back payment.   He moved back to Phoenix.  He didn't live very long to enjoy it.

Good for you, John -- our veterans need all the help they can get.  My brother came back from a bad tour in Viet Nam with the Marine Corps and I don't think he has ever really gotten over it.  Thank you for your advocacy on behalf of all our veterans!

Thanks Juhn for being a true friend to Rich. For each one we lose we are all diminished. I mourn each loss.

I was on the 1965 high school track team with Rich.  He was a good guy and placed in the hurdles at the state meet.  What a mess from Nam to the military.  I hope he enjoyed as much of the back pay as possible.
