From Roger Aikin: "My step-brother Jerry Carlin passed away in late October after a long illness.  We had known each other for 55 years, and briefly roomed together in college in 1966, sharing a house with Wayne Koberstein and Frank Morris.  We both got married that year.  Jerry was an expert metal smith and artist, and spent his career in Eugene fabricating art, furniture, and outdoor projects for clients.  Jerry was very pleased that he was able to vote in the recent election and died only three days after casting his vote.  He is survived by his daughters Sarah and Jennifer, who also live in Eugene.   Jerry would have been 74 on December 3."
