Cynthia Brownell Quackenbush recently informed us that Jeanne Cox Higa Babione passed away on September 20, 2022, in Houston, Texas . More information will be posted when it becomes available.
Thanks Wendy for your comment. While I wasn't "woven into the fabric" that held you and Jeanne together at CHS, I recognize your loss. I recall that my parents in Corvallis would also speak (in their mid-80s) of feeling that they suffered a real loss as their childhood acquaintances passed. It is hard for me to admit that everything has a beginning, a middle, and and an end. Jeanne's life matters to us...thanks for mentioning that you held important memories with her.

Thank you, Roger. It also makes me realize the connections I lost as a result of my disastrous first marriage and my flight from Corvallis. My dad often said, "So soon old, so late smart."
Adding to Wendy & Roger's comments: Senior year, Distributive Ed class was first thing in the morning and Jeanne's smile was always welcome. Death is such an ugly enemy. Don't give up hope, REV 21:3,4 will be fullfilled under Christ's kingdom rule; "death will be no more ". We are designed to live forever and we will on a paradise earth according to the original plan.

We were friends in school. Happy memories I last saw her at a reunion, maybe the 40th. I am sad at her passing.
