The enemy death claims another friend and classmate. During the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ, he will ressurect the dead to a paradise earth. My wife and I will again renew our friendship with Lydia and our worship of the Creator Jehovah God under the Kingdom rule.
Another classmate and friend has passed away in this system of things. The 1000 year reign of Christ will bring the blessing of the resurrection to a peaceful earth. REV.21:3,4.
Anyone remember Jim playing at our senior luncheon? 1965? Doesn't seem that long ago. JimOleman,Jim Hibbs & myself enjoyed good times in the 70's thru the Corvallis Kingdom Hall. Interesting how Bible truth can change anyone's life for the betterr.
I met "Benny" in 5th grade at Roosevelt grade school in Corvallis. We used to play act in his bedroom and traded off characters and voices. Who would have known what this would lead to. Sad to see another classmate pass away. Remember, REV. 21:3,4.
Adding to Wendy & Roger's comments: Senior year, Distributive Ed class was first thing in the morning and Jeanne's smile was always welcome. Death is such an ugly enemy. Don't give up hope, REV 21:3,4 will be fullfilled under Christ's kingdom rule; "death will be no more ". We are designed to live forever and we will on a paradise earth according to the original plan.

Sincere condolences. One day soon under God's kingdom, the prophecy at Isaiah 33:24 will come true. "And no resident will say: " I am sick".
every year some one posts this message. I know Lydia could care one way or another.
however, was this post from a previous friend trying to embarrass her?? As Jehovah's Witnesses, everyone knows we practice first century christianity and never would engage in idolatry. so, as the last great rock n roll group of the 60's, THE BOOMERS, we are on a farewell tour. so why not give it a rest.

Mike, oh to live and tell about it. You may remember the similarities of 2 classmates of '63 CHS (my brother pat's class) . Danny Roberts & Buddy Volz went flying over the Mary's River Bridge and ran into the cement gas station, old Flying A Station on 3rd. Car split exactly in 2. Cops said they found them stunned and incoherent after drinking all night. Danny showed me the picture he keeps in his wallet and WOW!! He stopped drinking that night. Glad that is a last century memory. Be safe!
Sincere condolences to all of Mark's relatives and close friends. To say he was an outstanding classmate is a bit of an understatement. To have a sports writer classify him with the likes of Terry Baker, the greatest 3 sports athlete in Oregon history in both high school and college is quite a feat. I was privy to a few family nuances in junior high and high school as Helen Gustafson worked with my mother at First National Bank in Corvallis. As for the care givers and others, a thank you seems not quite enough appreciation for the years of help they gave,. I sufferred a severe brain injury and a few concussions growing up in the woods before my father was transferred to Corvallis so I understand what living with the problem is like, One day we all will be able to say what Isaiah 33:4 says, "No resident will say they are sick." Keep praying for God's kingdom to come on earth as it is in the heaven.
Mike and his family moved 4 houses down from my parents on NW Mulkey Dr. in the early 60's. The last conversation we had was right after Mike returned from Vietnam. The topics were the angel "Moroni", the book of Mormon, and the Bible. Mike had forgotten that after meeting my maternal grandmother, she used to take me to the Corvallis stake near the OSU campus where I sat with Brian Webb and Mark Rampton on Sundays. Her parents were some of the first LDS in LaGrande,Oregon in the early 1890's. We finally agreed to disagree and take up our discussion later. Perhaps in the new earth during the 1000 year reign of Christ we will talk again.Time will tell.
the summer of 1967 seems like only a few years back. Gary, myself, Marty from NY and Mary+Sally& others shared a house off of Western Avenue up the street from Kathy Browns parents. We were going to summer school at OSU & doing what students did in the summer of love. One incident that was truly Gary E's sarcastic humor & state of mind was when having a party at the house and I introduced him to my buddy Robin Roberts (former lead singer Rockin Robin & the Wailers of Seattle)who was finishing his Masters at OSU. Robin mentioned he only made $24 for singing on Louie Louie (same time as Wailers Tall Cool One)So, until the lights went out around 4 a.m. every time Gary passed Robin he just shook his head and muttered $24. You had to have been be there to see the looks given. Robin died in a head on collision in SF on New Years morning that year.
As one who practices 1st century christianity I look forward to seeing both of them during the resurrection period on the earth during the 1,000 years of peace from the reign of Jesus Christ. For more information on the earthly resurrection please visit www.jw.org

Jonathon- Did you Enjoy the reunion? good picture but a "little" heavier eh? Who was the original drummer? Bob Williams played with J. Michael et al. I forget cause I mix up the dorkies from 66: B.A. & the Traitors. With the Jademen.
Road Trip. No reunion this summer. Sandy C. you were right about the Pageant of the Masters theme, "life-liberty & the pursuit of happiness". Weather in Laguna Beach was 82 and a far cry from 115 in AZ. Did the Getty Museum in Malibu & quite impressive with artifacts abounding in historical review from 6-700 years before Christ. Great collection. The Huntington Pier has been rebuilt so the Van's US Championship Surfboarding contest at Huntington Beach was a plus. Little 5' 4" Japanese 18 year old practically stole the show on small waves. Saw Huey Lewis & the News at the .O.C.Fairgrounds in the amphitheater. He said that the group has been touring for 37 years. Trifle compared to 50 years for Class of 65'ers.Finally a couple days on Coronado Island in San Diego & Balboa Park. Got home to Sun City and was 117 degrees in the back yard. Realize now why my wife wanted out of town and needed the beach for relief. Hope everyone had a good time at the reunion .Maybe in 10 years get one last chance to come north.
