Walt Frazier

Walt Frazier

                            ***********

Another sad loss.

From Candis Giles, class of CHS '66. A brief update for your classmate listing: My ex-husband, Walt Frazier, class of '65,  passed away in March of 2020, in Sequim, Washington. He is also a Vietnam Vet, USN, so a "US flag" and a "Rose" are appropriate in your classmate listing.

Candis provided further information about Walt:

Walt Frazier (aka "Pete") is survived by his daughters, Jaime (& William) Doerr and Keleen (& Chris) Tipsword of Philomath, and son, Cory (and Susanne) Frazier of Seattle, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He served in the US Navy, West-Pacific and Vietnam. He owned his own construction company in Oregon and Washington, and played on Sequim's Softball Team for many years. He was affectionately known as "Papa Pete."

Without exception I miss everyone we've lost. Seems like just yesterday Walt was joking around and making mischief.  I'll miss you old friend.

In the mid 70's I bought the house at 620 NW 4th to use as my office building.  Pete was my contractor, and my business partner Mary and I had a great deal of fun working with him. I believe Candis did the stained glass for the project.  The house was built in 1926 or 1929 and Pete tore it down to the studs and remodeled it keeping the original exterior and interior design the same.  It went through another remodel to become Corvallis Cat Care.  Thank you, Pete for making a major project so enjoyable.
