Jerry Wohlers, 69, of Albany died Saturday at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House. Born in Grand Island, Nebraska to Doyle and Verna Fay (Grim) Wohlers, Jerry moved to Corvallis in 1960 and graduated from Corvallis High School in 1965. He served his country in the US Army in Vietnam from 1967 to 1970, and upon his discharge moved to Albany in 1971 and married Mildred "Milli" Ames in Corvallis on April 23rd, 1971. Jerry worked in several occupations including roofing, optical, metal sculpturing, real estate and used cars, but his passion was music. He was a musician in the "Boomers" for 4 years, and as "Just Jerry" for 4 years, and was the owner of BopSonic Studios and Karaoke until his retirement in 2009. Jerry was also a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, and Eagles Club. He loved boating, fishing, camping, and hosting BBQ's with family and friends in the backyard. He is survived by his wife Milli of Albany; sons Dustin of Salem and Robley of Tangent; father Doyle Wohlers; brother Rick of Eugene; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Verna and brother Bradley. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 to 4pm Sunday June 25th at Jerry and Mildred's home.
